On my way home from Moseley folk. I like Moseley. I wish I still lived 20 mins walk away from the folk festival. As it is, I have to be on this train for an hour and 40 minutes. It's been a long time. The pooter made an absolutuely horrific noise and died. I took it to the nice Mac Genius guys. They handled it reverently with respect for its age but did diagnose it dead. Well I've no hurry to live through a week like that again. Won't go into detail. Enough to say my failure to deal with depression and work based stress has come to a head. I spent easter week at the Jesuit provincial meeting. Every two years all the Jesuits in Britain get together, tell each other what they are up to, hear from their provincial (the head Jesuit for Britain), pray and…er… hang out in the bar together. I was there to tell them what I was up to in their name and learn more about them.

I was thinking today about how we lose people, and how we keep people and how we make decisions about those we want to keep in our lives. This gives me disquiet as I realise that it is an awful lot about ease.
